EGYPTOLOGY COURSES FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS
Egyptology courses designed for scholars and passionate enthusiasts alike are an essential part of my educational offering. I find it deeply rewarding to share the knowledge acquired through years of study, research, and fieldwork also with those who, for personal choices, life circumstances, or age limits, may never pursue formal specialization but cultivate a sincere and lasting interest in Ancient Egypt.
The courses explore the major themes of Egyptology, including Egyptian history and chronology, writing systems, religion, and the customs of everyday life. Particular attention is devoted to archaeology, from major and lesser-known discoveries to sacred, domestic, and funerary architecture, as well as to one of the most enduringly fascinating practices of Egyptian civilization: mummification.
Alongside these core subjects, the programmes also address more specialized and often overlooked topics. These include ancient Egyptian medicine, wine and food culture, prominent and lesser-known female figures, and the complex relationship between mummies, imagination, and scientific inquiry—from historical fascination and early interpretations to modern technological investigations, illustrated through selected case studies. These are aspects of Ancient Egyptian civilization that I have explored in depth throughout my academic training, going beyond what is commonly presented to the general public.
Courses may be delivered either in person or online. While digital formats ensure accessibility and flexibility, the in-person experience remains unparalleled for direct engagement, discussion, and shared learning.
The aim is to offer something genuinely distinctive: not a traditional lecture-based format, but an engaging, dynamic, and thought-provoking experience. Each course becomes a shared journey—traveling through time and space to encounter a land that gave rise to one of the most extraordinary civilizations in human history.
All courses are fully bespoke and developed in close collaboration with the commissioning institution, ensuring that content, structure, and level are tailored to the specific needs of each audience.
